SC Wildcats 2025-2026 Wrestling Registration

Following a successful inaugural season with multiple CAGWA champions, top-three finishers, and a USA CA State podium placer, the SC Wildcats are proud to announce that registration is now open for the 2025-2026 Wrestling Season.

Wrestling season commences Thursday, November 13th and will run through early March and the USA State Wrestling Tournament. Practices will be held at Hugo’s Gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday mornings from 7:00-9:00am with optional tournaments on Sundays. All SC Wildcats wrestling coaches are USA Wrestling certified. 

Wrestling is an excellent off-season sport for football players. It enhances body control and balance, which are crucial for tackling and blocking. The emphasis on leverage helps athletes understand how to use their weight effectively, regardless of their size. Additionally, the explosive movements in wrestling translate well to the agility and quick bursts of speed needed on the football field.
